Funny PODS Commercial from PGA Tour Stop
PODS is one of the options we are considering from all the cross country moving companies that are out there. Yes, we are desperately trying to move cross country again. Our friends and family think we are crazy for moving so many times but, hey, we aren't asking them to do it. We don't think they are crazy for living life differently than us. We don't think that everyone else should be searching through all the cross country moving companies to choose their next moving experience. Why does everyone else expect us to live by their preferences?
How would you move?
Let's just say, for the purposes of this blog, that you are moving across country. What method of cross country moving companies would you choose? There are so many factors that come into play when sifting through all of the cross country moving companies that I had not even thought of before, and we have moved a lot over the years--22 different homes/apartments in 25 years of marriage and 6 of those were at least half way or more across the United States. So this will be our 23rd home move and our 7th cross country move. In all that moving we have used various forms of cross country moving companies; one could say we are experienced movers.
From Self Move to Moving Company
We have done everything from loading up our own pickup truck and trailer to move from MN to PA to having the military cross country moving companies do all the packing and loading for us from PA to AK. There was the old standby U-Haul self move from AK to MN. We even did a combination self move and a cross country moving companies from IA to WA. Then there was the Penske moving truck from WA to MN and again from MN to SC. So where does that leave us for this next move?
Considering all the options
Life has changed over the years and that even includes our abilities for moving. We are at the point in our lives where we are definitley considering using one of the cross country moving companies this time. Here are some of the considerations for us when we are choosing from all of the cross country moving companies. Due to my husband's illness of fibro myalgia, which has gotten bad recently, and the loss of my teens growing up and are probably not moving with us this time, loading and unloading a truck would be really difficult for us this move. The fibro myalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome also make it scary to think about even driving across country, especially in a moving truck. Our family size for this move is 4 or 5 so that means if we do a self move we would have to drive at least 2 vehicles but we only have one driver, another problem caused by my husband's illnesses. So, unless we have someone come and help us move, it looks like our only feasible options are to choose from the wide array of cross country moving companies.
